Millions of people will be traveling for the holidays and sleeping in beds that may be infested or in close proximity to a bed bug infestation. Bed bug infestations occur in even the cleanest homes, and can be difficult to eliminate. They can also stow away in a traveler’s luggage, so Bay Area Pest Eliminators offers travelers tips on luggage handling to protect themselves.

When returning from a trip, Bay Area Pest Elimination makes the following recommendation:

Keep all luggage, bags, and other belongings in an isolated area of the home, such as the garage, and inspect them. Try opening bags and luggage on a light-colored floor so that live bugs can be spotted more easily.
